Valerie Kuehne

While my love of glass as an art medium has extended over many decades, I have only been working with kiln-formed or warm glass for ten years.  I have studied with experts and master teachers locally, and throughout North America.  My goal is to fuse glass in creative ways to achieve extraordinary results.  I love colour and am inspired by the rich palette provided year-round by our stunning Vancouver Island environment.  

​My artistic practice has only recently become a primary focus for me.  I am grateful that I can create each week -- exploring new techniques, refining old ones, and always challenging myself to improve my skills and abilities.  

I am a proud member of the Saanich Peninsula Arts & Crafts Society and the ArtSea Community Arts Council.  My glass art has appeared in many regional juried and non-juried art shows throughout the Greater Victoria area.  Farther afield, my work is held in collections in Canada, the USA, the UK and Australia.
