Andrea EnglandAndrea England is a watercolour artist who draws inspiration from the ever-changing colours and moods of the ocean. Her home and studio is Island Prism, a little yellow sailboat based in Victoria BC. The gentle flow of water beneath the hull may contribute to the sense of energy and movement that fills Andrea’s art.
Andrea is drawn to watercolour because of its translucency and slightly capricious nature. It also gives her an excuse to spend even more time playing around with water. White lines of untouched paper ripple through her work along with vibrant colours, enhancing the feeling that ocean, air and earth are alive. |
