Peggy FletcherAs a native of Vancouver Island Peggy has, since childhood, felt a strong connection to our local natural world, ocean and mountain views and the light and colour of the changing seasons and so is especially drawn to painting west coast landscapes and native plants. Whether walking her dog in Mt. Douglas Park, skiing at Mt. Washington or hiking along an oceanside trail, Peggy is always inspired by the beautiful scenes that surround her. Thousands of reference photos are currently clogging her phone such is the volume of subject matter that is out there, and she frequently laments that there are so many potential
paintings and just not enough time to paint! Oil on canvas is her preferred medium and west coast rain forests and arbutus trees are her most popular subjects. |
