Miller began jewelry making in 2007 when she ventured into a local bead shop and after purchasing reference books and tools, she was soon was making beaded jewelry. Not satisfied with being limited to bead work, Miller then enrolled in silversmithing courses to learn how to create her own sterling silver pieces.
Miller draws her inspiration from a broad range of shapes whether they are organic, abstract or geometric forms. She uses her scribe, saw, and torch along with a myriad of other tools and proven silversmithing techniques forming, forging, texturing, soldering to create her own one-of-kind pieces.
Miller combines sterling silver precious metal with a shimmering array of brilliant semi-precious gemstones, luminous freshwater pearls and other natural materials to create her work. Miller’s jewelry creations are for women who love to express their own unique individuality.
Miller named her company in honor of her family heritage. The name Uniacke, meaning “the only one” dates back to Ireland as far as the 11th century.
