Arabella YoungArabella Young is a visual Artist who enjoys capturing the forests, lakes and ocean landscapes of the West Coast, as well as florals grown in her garden. Arabella works in various mediums including oil paints, oil pastels, watercolours and acrylics. Utilizing an impasto painting technique, Arabella adds texture and depth to her work, making the energy of her experiences and her art process, visible. Arabella communicates the intense vitality of the world around her through her expressionistic colour palette and on the surfaces of her work. |
Arabella studied visual arts at the Emily Carr Institute of Art and Design (AKA Emily Carr University of Art and Design), as well as Interior Design at the BC Institute of Technology. Arabella is now a full-time artist living and working in Sidney, BC, within the Traditional WSÁNEĆ Territory.
