Allison Brodie

My Design career started many years ago in the field of Visual Presentation for department stores after attending Capilano Collage for Commercial Art in Vancouver B.C. I branched out on my own several years later and formed my own company, Allison Brodie Designs, and created window displays for thirty to forty businesses in Victoria and Sidney.

Along with my growing business I taught art to children through my home studio and continued for 7 years. Fast forward…I have retired from my display business of thirty years and although had painted throughout my career, now have time to embrace my love of painting full time!

My work is always changing as I love to try new techniques and products. Recently I have been concentrating on my abstracts using metals, plasters and other found objects.

 I am also interested in ceramics and have been sculpting whimsical animals in between my painting days. I have been showing my work at The Gallery at Matticks Farm in Victoria for over 10 years and solo and group shows in Victoria and Sidney.
 My work has found homes in Canada, the USA and parts of Europe.
